It is hard to believe we are once again at the start of a new year. We closed for Christmas with our first ever “Movie Night” which was enjoyed by the girls along with their parents and our leadership team. We are very grateful to Josie for planning the evening and everyone went home with an angel as well as the girls having a “goody bag” which contained gifts and the Recipe Books they had made. To complete the movie theme there was popcorn for all ages!
We have recently been given a slim Christmas Tree and the week before the party Autumn and Grandma decorated it, they had to stand on the stage to get to the top branches!
We reopened on Monday 19th January and we look forward to exploring new crafts, new recipes and new interests. We are only a small group but our ages range from 6 to 12 and all the girls work well together. For any girls who would like to join us we meet on a Monday at 6.30 p.m. finishing at 8.00 p.m. (term time only) but for younger girls we are happy for them to leave earlier. The first night is free and we think we are very good value for an evening costing only £1.50 including all craft materials, baking ingredients and a drink and biscuit before going home.
All those who came to our Christmas Breakfast Celebration had a good time whilst learning more about the real Christmas story. Our next Breakfast Church will be a celebration of MOTHERING SUNDAY, 15 TH MARCH at 9.30 a.m.
Everyone is welcome, whatever your age, so why not come and join us and have breakfast with us and make a craft (if you want to). Before we go home we have a short child friendly talk.
